Kathleen is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University where she attended on a full music scholarship. She has been teaching piano lessons since the mid-'90s at private schools as well as her home studio in the Chicagoland area. Kathleen is excited to continue teaching lessons after moving to our community.
Educating students of all ages is her passion and finding ways to spark that passion and love of music is the most important aspect of her lessons. Patience and encouragement are such an important part of Kathleen's teaching style. Each student will learn piano fundamentals such as note reading, rhythm, finger placement, and musical expression. Students can also expect to explore famous composers from Baroque to Modern and even learn to compose their own music. Recitals and performances will be another important piece of each student's musical journey to showcase the students efforts at all levels.
