He picked up the guitar at the age of 14 and studied with Cincinnati Guitar guru Dwight Dyer. Bryan joined Anderson High School's Jazz band and played with them for three years, and also began playing at his church with the contemporary service band. He also played lead guitar in a band with his friends called Life Story Soundtrack, for which Bryan wrote a majority of their original catalogue. Out of high school, Bryan became the lead guitarist and technical director for Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Cincinnati, learning to become an audio engineer as well. He studied music production with Pro Tools, adding the title of "recording engineer" to his list of qualifications. Bryan also interned for the Monastery Studio, owned by international touring and recording artist, Ric Hordinski. He contracted with Access Audio Inc. for several years and volunteered as technical director for the Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati, working with many bands and artists from all over Ireland, the U.S. and Canada.
